hello,
i am pursuing information technology (b.tech II year) at purvanchal university jaunpur. i was interested in being a part of the google summer of code program 2011. but i don’t know much about the process it’ll take to be a part of it.
i came to know that it is not necessary for one to be an expert with the projects given. i am only proficient in c & c++ and have just put a hand on java. i needed to know whether i am able enough to apply and what did it take you to apply in gsoc because i am only able to find the stuffs that i can apply but i am not very clear with the procedure of applying like how to find a mentoring organization etc.
it will be a real help if you tell me the processes you went through..
